Dog Tracks app for iPhone and iPad

Dog Tracks is a community-based app and is a fantastic way to share with others your favourite dog walking routes. It is also a great way to share safe places to walk with your dog and discovering new walks with confidence.

First steps: Just create a name for your walk, set off with your phone in your pocket and DogTracks will trace your walk on to a map, recording useful information such as the distance you have travelled and the time taken to complete your walk.

You can also use DogTracks to show on your mapped walk where it is safe for a dog to be on or off the lead. You can also snap pictures along the way and save them to your “walk” info.

You will be able to add to your walk the locations of “dog poo bins”, “dog-friendly pubs” and also where there is “dog water”. Dog Tracks will be a useful addition to your own dog walking paths and will help other dog walkers too.

If you are out of town with your dog and dont know the area, simply click on DogTracks and navigate to the “Near Me” section to search the surrounding area for walks to suit you and your dog. You will be able to check out whats on that walk, for instance, if its suitable for on or off the lead walking with your dog. Dog Tracks also gives you the advantage of a preview of the walk by showing you pictures of the route. If the newly discovered walk is the one for you, then simply ask DogTracks for directions and it will direct you to the start point of the walk then guide you along your selected route.
